The Youth Club should be affiliated with the concerned District Unit.
Each member of the Youth club should be aware of the importance of physical fitness and spend 30-60 minutes daily for at least 5 days every week for group physical activities.
Each member of the Youth Club should commit to motivating one additional person every month to incorporate physical activity of 30-60 minutes in his/her daily routine.
The Youth club should organize or persuade the local body and school to organize one community fitness event every quarter.

In my school days, the only time I used to
be at home during the holidays is during the lunchtime and to sleep. We used to
play all sorts of outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Tennis, Seven Stones,
Gilli,Kabaddi,Volleyball, Kho-Kho and many more games. You name it we played it all.
Oh man, those days are full of fun and
delightful memories!!!
But in
today’s lifestyle, the popularity of mobile, television and video games are growing
alarmingly, making our kids inactive and weak.
As the playgrounds in schools and public
play areas are shrinking day by day due to overgrowing population and urbanization,
youth nowadays show less interest and inclination towards the outdoor games.
It’s very amusing and sad to see the kids play the
outdoor games in their mobile, hooked all day to their phones without realizing
the impact it has on them and parents are happy to buy them their favorite
video games.
So what’s the problem? Are they not healthy? What
about their studies? Is there any safety for kids outside? What about my dreams
which my kid has to fulfill?
Some of these questions make sense in today’s competitive and insecure
world but let’s not forget the power of sports in youth.
Participation in sports has many benefits for
children has it offers the chance for youth to enhance their social and

In the last few years, India has made steady progress
in the field of sports and has tremendous potential to be showcased in the
global platform.
The Khelo
India programme has been introduced to revive the sports culture in India
at the grass-root level by building a strong structure for all sports and to
establish India as a great sporting superpower. Khelo India School Games, which are a part of the Khelo India programme, are being held every year to encourage the young athletes in schools. The main aim is to strengthen the sports ecosystem by promoting the twin objectives of mass participation and promotion of excellence in sports.
On 31 January 2018, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, declared open the inaugural Khelo India School Games at the opening ceremony at Indira Gandhi Arena.
In 2018, Harayana topped the table in with 108 medals including 38 golds, 26 silver and 38 bronze followed by Maharashtra (110 medals including 36 golds) and Delhi (94 medals including 25 golds).
This programme divided into 12 verticals will
provide training at the highest level with the top-notch infrastructure to
inspire the young talents around the country.
Every year talented 1000 kids across priority sports discipline will be given an scholarship of INR500,000 for 8 years to prepare them for the international sporting events. Under-17 athletes will be invited to participate across 16 disciplines, which are as follows: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shooting, Swimming, Volleyball, Weightlifting, and Wrestling.
