Exams are around the corner. As a student, preparing for the exams during this Covid period will be a big challenge with having too much to read in a short time.


As the exams are on the horizon, our team has prepared a study tips list to help students overcome the feeling of nerve, fear, and anxiety. To succeed in the exams, have a single-minded devotion towards your goal.

Preparation Tips and Pointers for the Students,

1. Create an effective study timetable to utilize the time diligently.

2. Paste the timetable in front of the study table.

3. Paste the printout of your syllabus and exam time table in front of the study table.

4. Organize your study area and the study materials with respect to the subjects.

5. Mark your daily progress in the timetable using sticky notes.

6. Take regular 10 min breaks to relax and refresh.

7. Get sufficient sleep in between the exams.

8. Avoid Television and Social Media to avoid distraction and losing the focus.

9. Prepare a proper revision plan.

10. Use visual aids to convert the revision notes into diagrams and flowcharts to enhance the memory retention.

11. Solve the sample papers and previous question papers to understand the exam pattern and for revision.

12. Take mock test of the sample papers to analyze your performance.

13. Make sure that you have all the permissible stationary items and the admission card in your school bag before the exam start date.

14. Visit your examination center one day before the exam to familiarize the route and to know the travel timings.

15. Make the best use of the allotted 15 minutes reading time before writing the answers to the questions.

*Mahatma Gandhi was born as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The honorific title Mahatma was given to him in 1914.

*In India, he is also called Bapu and known as the Father of the Nation.

*Gandhi dedicated his life to discovering and pursuing truth, or Satya, and called his movement as satyagraha, which means "appeal to, insistence on, or reliance on the Truth".

*Gandhi believed that Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism were traditions of Hinduism, with shared history, rites and ideas.

Gandhi strongly favoured the emancipation of women, and urged "the women to fight for their own self-development."

In reality there are as many religions as there are individuals.... Religions are different roads converging to the same point. What does it matter that we take different roads, so long as we reach the same goal. Wherein is the cause for quarreling?

Civilization is that mode of conduct which points out to man the path of duty. Performance of duty and observance of morality are convertible terms. To observe morality is to attain mastery over our mind and our passions. So doing, we know ourselves. The Gujarati equivalent for civilization means “good conduct”.

Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary.

It is not true that we shall necessarily progress if our political conditions undergo a change, irrespective of the manner in which it is brought about. If the means employed are impure, the change will not be in the direction of progress but very likely in the opposite.

The only training in Swaraj we need is the ability to defend ourselves against the whole world and to live our natural life in perfect freedom, even though it may be full of defects. Good government is no substitute for self-government.

There is a higher court than courts of justice and that is the court of conscience. It supersedes all other courts.

Any action that is dictated by fear or by coercion of any kind ceases to be moral.No action which is not voluntary can be called moral.

If one has no affection for a person or a system, one should feel free to give the fullest expression to his disaffection so long as he does not contemplate, promote, or incite violence.

Always believe in your dreams, because if you don't, you'll still have hope.

Hinduism is a relentless pursuit after truth and if today it has become moribund, inactive, irresponsive to growth, it is because we are fatigued. As soon as the fatigue is over, Hinduism will burst forth upon the world with a brilliance perhaps never known before.

Real Swaraj will come, not by the acquisition of authority by a few, but by the acquisition of the capacity by all to resist authority when it is abused. In other words, Swaraj is to be attained by educating the masses to a sense of their capacity to regulate and control authority.

What the divine author of the Mahabharata said of his great creation is equally true of Hinduism. Whatever of substance is contained in any other religion is always to be found in Hinduism, and what is not contained in it is insubstantial or unnecessary.

Seven social sins: politics without principles, wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, and worship without sacrifice.

Many of us spend most of our lifetime trying to figure out the 'Why' part.

Some say Life is a mystery and complain about it all the time with out knowing the power of their lottery ticket.

Yes, I agree Life is a mystery but that is its beauty. You will never know what will happen in the very next moment, next minute or second, so live life your way and enjoy it.

Same was true for me; I didn’t know what will happen in my Life when I boarded the train to Bombay for my first job.

I didn’t know whom to meet or where to stay. I didn’t know whether I will survive with the salary of 5000 rupees in an unknown place.

I didn’t know what will happen to my career after the 1 year contract period mentioned in the job application.

It was a mystery but it was my only lifeline.

I only had hope, ego boosted courage, prayers of my loved ones and the ultimate faith in my lord. I truly believed he will look after me and keep my travel safe to the destiny.

The love and the pain, I saw in my loved one’s eyes made my resolve stronger. I made a promise to myself, no matter what the heck happens I will survive this journey for them.

Life teaches us its wisdom in many ways and for me; it taught me “What Life is all about?”

As I never stayed outside my home even for a single week, it taught me brutal life lessons needed for survival.

I taught me to love fellow humans, trust, betrayal, self-belief, the power of true faith and about compassion.

You can only experience that feeling when you don’t know where you will stay for the night, where you will eat your next meal, which human will come to receive you at your destination.

It taught me to trust, when one stranger friend said ‘You can come and stay with me in our room’.

It taught me joy and happiness when my anxious parents were happy hearing that ‘I got the roof secured over my head’ on the phone.

It taught me sharing and caring, when we six strangers shared our food, cared for each other dreams and had a good time chatting with each other.

It taught me betrayal, when that same stranger friend after the 24-hour journey said to me ‘How are you going to manage your stay? Who will be coming to pick you up?’

It taught me faith when another shocked stranger friend like me said ‘You can come and stay with me in my friend’s room’.

Believe in yourself, 

and the rest will fall into place.

Have faith in your own abilities, work hard, 

and there is nothing you cannot accomplish.
